Got a dodgy call claiming to be from BT, saying there’s been errors with my router. Trouble is, I don’t even have a BT router! Sketchy if you ask me.

Got a call from 001243672355, some Asian guy with a call centre accent. He was telling me my PC had weird stuff on it that shouldn't be there. Said if I powered it up, he’d show me exactly where and how to remove the bad stuff. Sounded dodgy, probably trying to make me turn off my antivirus or something. I’ve told everyone in the family about it, although you'd think they'd know better than to bother chatting with these people!

It’s a total computer scam, best thing is to not give them any info. If you’re up for it, just mess with them a bit to waste their time, but otherwise just hang up quick.

Got called like four times within half an hour. I finally picked up on the last one, and some Asian bloke was claiming there was an issue with my PC. I told him straight up I had no problems and to get lost! Total scam, no doubt about it!

I received a rather peculiar call from this number earlier today. The chap on the other end claimed there were issues with my computer. Naturally, I inquired about the specifics of the problem. To my surprise, he said he couldn't catch what I was saying. I tried to clarify my question yet again, but he just burst into laughter and abruptly ended the call. What a dodgy character!

At around 10:13am UK time on 18th Dec, I got a call from this number, followed by another one just a couple of minutes later at 10:15am. My phone’s screening kicked in and blocked the first call without any voicemail left. The second call did drop a message, but all it said was "Hello.?" which was a bit weird.

Called me at twenty-five past eight. I really couldn't make out what he was saying, so I informed him he was contravening the law... then I hung up.

Got a call from someone named Frank on 17th December 2016, claiming there was an issue with my PC. I told him I was aware it was a con and that I'd report it to the cops. He kept going on, so I just ended the call. I've since blocked the number.

So this guy named Martin from ISC rings me up, supposedly about some issue with my PC. I cheerfully said, “Alright Martin!” preparing to have a bit of fun by pointing out he clearly had no clue about computers and was just trying to con me. But as soon as I spoke, Martin hung up on me. Dunno what I actually said to make him bail that quick!

This number rang me up earlier today. When I answered, there was total silence on the other end. Decided to just block it straight away after that!

Received a call today claiming my computer was sluggish due to various websites I’d visited, and they were supposedly able to assist. Curious, I inquired if the call was originating from the UK or abroad, and the chap insisted he was calling from Coventry. When I pressed him for the name of his business, he flatly refused to disclose any information. Subsequently, he cut the line. It’s high time a global strategy was established to combat such deceitful tactics, although I wouldn't be surprised if some prominent figures misinterpret these scams as legitimate operations.

Got a ring from this number around 11:30 in the morning on 12th November 2017. Some bloke named "Richard" claiming to be from "Tech Helpline" was trying to chat about an issue with my PC. Seemed fishy straight away, so I asked if it was about some sort of virus. Suddenly, he just ended the call! Definitely felt like a dodgy scam.

Received a call around half past one from someone claiming to be from the technical support team for Windows. They insisted that my computer was experiencing some issues. When they asked if I was near my device, I replied that I was actually at the dining table and more concerned about my meal going cold. Politely requested they wrap it up, and just like that, they hung up. Another one trying their luck with a dodgy scam, I reckon!

On Saturday the 9th December, I got a call from someone named "Christine" claiming to be from Tech Helpline. They said they were located on Warrington Road in Coventry, but the STD code was actually for Chichester, which seemed odd. The whole spiel was about Microsoft stopping support soon and my computer supposedly not working anymore. When I asked who she wanted to speak to, she nervously asked for "Jason Smith," a name I know is linked to some dodgy stuff where my address and number were used without permission. Very suspicious, to say the least.

Got a call earlier from a number I didn’t recognise, answered but nobody said anything. I looked it up and turns out it was a scam. Thanks for the heads up!

Absolutely a scam! Steer clear and don’t share any personal details with them. They pose as a tech support line, claiming your computer isn’t backing up properly and is sluggish, insisting they need to remote access your device. I challenged the chap by asking what kind of computer I owned, and he couldn't even get that right! I was on the verge of asking if he could actually sleep soundly at night, but he hung up in a flash! Unbelievable!

Got a call this morning around 11.12am on the 6th of December 2017, some bloke said there was an issue with my PC and asked if I was the owner. I quickly told him to buzz off and ended the call. Totally sounds like a scam trying to grab personal info. The guy had an Asian accent, which made it even more suspicious. I’ve got Truecaller set up so callers usually have to announce themselves before I pick up, but this fella didn’t do that at all. Would definitely steer clear of this number and make sure to report it!

I received a phone call from this number at precisely 11:12 this morning on the 5th of December, 2017. The caller claimed there was an issue with my computer and inquired if I was the one who owned it. I ended the call right away, as I found it quite odd that they had my number, considering it’s a recent addition to my contacts. My phone should have recognised the caller, yet it failed to do so. I’m rather alarmed by this number’s attempt to contact me, as it seems to be a clear case of a scam.

Received a call earlier today. The chap on the other end kicked things off by inquiring whether I owned a computer. When I replied in the negative, he quickly followed up with a question about a laptop. I again stated that I didn't have one, and then, lo and behold, he simply disconnected the call. I have a strong feeling that this was a scam attempt.

I’ve just had a rather strange phone call from this number. They claimed to be from a tech support team, saying there were issues with my Windows 10 system. They went on to mention that my computer was running sluggishly, which, admittedly, it has been. They offered to fix it in a mere two hours but insisted that to keep everything in order, I’d need to fork out £119 for a three-year plan or £149 for eight years. I told them I’d confer with my husband before proceeding, and they promptly ended the conversation. I can't help but wonder if this is some sort of scam. I’m definitely planning to notify the local police. Just a heads-up to everyone out there!

Got a call earlier today from a lady who sounded Asian. She claimed to be from Microsoft’s Global Tech Support. She told me that older versions of Windows aren’t getting security updates anymore. When I asked if she just calls people at random, she said my number was connected to a Microsoft account under the name Mary Stewart. I told her that’s not me, and then she politely said have a nice weekend and ended the call. Bit strange since we’ve only had this phone for about half a year!

some person calling with an asian accent said they were top computer experts, asking me to look for a file on my pc. i was sure they just wanted to get remote access or something dodgy. i told them my partner works in it as a consultant, but that didn’t stop them. finally i told the person to not ring this number anymore.

On Saturday morning at around 9:25 am, 02/12/2017, I got a call from this asian guy. He was talking about a problem with my computer, but honestly, I couldn’t make out most of what he said. When I asked how he even knew I had a computer or what my email was, he just couldn’t answer. I told him it was clearly a scam, and he just hung up straight away before I could say anything else. The call came from landline 001243672355.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with 'Microsoft tech support' who sounded Asian and was really hard to understand. They said there was an issue with my computer, but it was obviously a scam. Plus, I don’t even use a Microsoft OS. I just told them to buzz off.
