I got a call from someone saying they were from the bank’s fraud department about a credit card in my daughter’s name, not mine. They asked me to press 1 if the number wasn’t mine, which I did, and then they just hung up. Pretty sure this was a scam or some sort of mistake.

I kept getting calls from the same number and when I finally picked up, all they said was “goodbye” and hung up! So weird.

For about a week now, this number has been ringing me up at least 8 times each day. It shows as international and then goes straight to unavailable. I haven't picked up any of these calls.

Got a call from this number on my home phone today. Figured it could be one of those BT checks or something similar. Didn’t pick up, and as soon as the answer machine kicked in, the caller just dropped the line. Tried calling back using 1471, but no luck - the message said to just cut it off because the number wasn’t valid for a return call. Looks like another dodgy scam number popping up!

A woman named Celia called me about a refund for my “loan insurance” or something like that. I told her I’d never taken out any loan and just ended the call. Seemed fishy to me.

my nan, who’s 87, got a ring from this number saying they had a refund for her. Thankfully, i was around and she handed the phone over to me. it definitely sounded like it was coming from another country and they kept saying they had a refund for her. straight away i realised they were trying to scam her and told them to never call her again. as you might guess, they just ended the call after that.

My mum got a call from them, but they talked really fast and she couldn’t catch what they were saying. She told them to hold on a sec while she handed the phone over to me, but as soon as the phone was in my hand, they just cut the call.

I got a ring from this number earlier. I answered with a simple hello but no one spoke back, just some quiet sounds like someone was there but no background like a call centre.
