I recently received a peculiar call from a number, 0012345, claiming to be in touch with someone who has been using my phone number. It was a woman speaking, and apparently, she had left her home to be with whoever was on the line. As an FSc student just having finished my exams, this has completely thrown me for a loop! I’m puzzled about who it could possibly be. Just wanted to express my gratitude from Pakistan!

I got a call from someone saying they were from the bank’s fraud department about a credit card in my daughter’s name, not mine. They asked me to press 1 if the number wasn’t mine, which I did, and then they just hung up. Pretty sure this was a scam or some sort of mistake.

For about a week now, this number has been ringing me up at least 8 times each day. It shows as international and then goes straight to unavailable. I haven't picked up any of these calls.

I noticed this number pop up on my landline earlier today and initially wondered if it might be a test call from BT! I chose not to pick up, and as my answerphone kicked in, the caller promptly hung up. When I tried to trace it using 1471, all I got was a message saying to hang up, which meant I couldn't even redial the number. A woman named Celia called me about a refund for my “loan insurance” or something like that. I told her I’d never taken out any loan and just ended the call. Seemed fishy to me.

my nan, who’s 87, got a ring from this number saying they had a refund for her. Thankfully, i was around and she handed the phone over to me. it definitely sounded like it was coming from another country and they kept saying they had a refund for her. straight away i realised they were trying to scam her and told them to never call her again. as you might guess, they just ended the call after that.

My mum got a call from them, but they talked really fast and she couldn’t catch what they were saying. She told them to hold on a sec while she handed the phone over to me, but as soon as the phone was in my hand, they just cut the call.
