Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent claiming to be from some "United Kingdom Society." When I asked her for their contact number, she just hung up. Then, a guy with a similar accent rang from the same number and begged me to answer two quick questions, promising not to ring again. I ended up leaving the receiver off the hook so they’d rack up the call charges. These calls came yesterday around midday and again today at about 1:30pm.

In the UK it’s always someone with an Indian accent but a proper British name. Usually it’s a guy, but every now and then it’s a lass. One day I had it up to here after the same woman kept ringing me three times in one day. So I told her, ‘You must be bonkers to keep calling me like this. Fancy a bit of a shag?’ She shot back with ‘go f#ck your mother’ - top notch!

UK survey calls? I swore I’d told them off enough back in 2016 after getting constant calls - sometimes three a day for ages. Guess not! Watch out, they seem to use loads of different numbers, though most finish with .9686. This year I’m just gonna let my answerphone pick up. They never bother leaving a message anyway, so fingers crossed I never have to deal with them properly again.

Today, 20/12/2016, about 9.13 am, I got a call. The caller was asking for my mum, who sadly passed away back in 2004. They wanted to know if I’d settled the phone bill, to which I replied yes, then just ended the call.

Been getting these calls loads lately, like a couple of times every day for a few days straight, then they stop for a bit before starting all over again. Thinking about letting out a proper whistling blast into the phone just to see what they make of it!
