Got a call supposedly from "BT" telling me my service would be cut off, but I’m actually with Virgin Cable - total rubbish!

Got a call from an automated voice thing. I picked up but said nothing, then they just dropped the call. Looks like it’s probably one of those scam calls. We keep getting these unknown numbers ring from the States nearly every day now, I reckon it’s dodgy so I’m labelling it as risky.

They rang my fax machine and ended the call straight away, but I managed to use 1471 to find out who it was.

Beware, this is a scam. I rang BT and they confirmed my internet was working fine and not cut off at all. When they told me to press 1, I suspect it might have been a pricey premium number trying to rip me off.
