I used to receive these incessant Windows scam calls all the time. The moment I confronted them, saying I recognised it as a scam, they promptly ended the call. Now, I find them ringing me at the crack of dawn, but strangely enough, there’s never anyone on the other end. It’s rather bothersome that they persist in calling, despite the lack of a conversation!

I inquired about the Windows computer I was using, but when I mentioned that I solely owned an Apple device, the gentleman from Asia promptly ended the call.

Received a call at 6:56 in the morning and decided not to answer. Absolute muppets!

Called me twice at 7:45 in the morning, what a bother! No one was ever on the line, just silence!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Windows, stating that my computer was allegedly transmitting error notifications. The caller had an Asian accent, if I recall correctly.

I received two calls from this number, the first around 7:45 in the morning and the second at 1:05 in the afternoon. Oddly enough, there was no one there when I answered either time.

Just received a voice message that landed in our voicemail box. It was a bit alarming - essentially stating that this was our last chance. The message urged us to hit 1 on our phone to chat with a real person about reducing our interest rates, or we could press 3 to stop all future notifications. Received a call from this number this morning at 7:45. I’ve noticed it ringing me nearly every day. I regularly turn to this website to investigate unfamiliar numbers like these.

This is now the fourth morning running they ring up at 8.50am, mostly some bloke who calls himself 'John' and sounds Asian. One time he said he was from Talktalk. I told him I ain’t got no computer or laptop to stop him moaning, but he kept pushing anyway. Told him to bugger off! Eventually found out how to block the number from Talktalk's site and did it.

I just gave this 'Windows' bloke the full runaround. Pretended I had no clue what I was doing, calling my monitor a telly and my keyboard a 'typing thing'. I totally misunderstood everything he asked for, said I couldn’t find any of the stuff he mentioned, and really got on his nerves until he was nearly swearing at me. I ended the long, annoying chat by saying I’m actually on a Mac and told him and his mates to do one. Give it a go, it’s quite fun and they definitely won’t be knocking on your door afterwards :>)

Received a ring today from a chap named Jack, who sounded Asian. He mentioned something about my computer, saying it was in for an update at the shop. When I told him I should have it back by next week, he said he’d give me another buzz either on Thursday or Friday. Curious to see what he has to say then!

Just received a phone call from this number. The chap mentioned he’d ring me again this evening, then went on to say he'd ring back at 8 AM. I told him I wasn’t keen, yet he insisted he would reach out again!

I received a call at 8:13 on my day off, completely putting an end to my hopes for a nice lie-in. I picked up the phone, only for the caller to hang up on me. It’s a bit frustrating since I’m very cautious about sharing my number; I figure if someone is calling, they ought to already have it, right?

Received a call earlier today, around 11:20, claiming to be from the Windows support team.

Got a call from an Asian guy, and straight away I clocked it was a dodgy scam. I told him to shut up pretty quickly. He rang again, but this time I just kept quiet and he sounded even more annoyed. Honestly, just be really blunt with them, it’s the best way to handle it.

Got a call from this number just now, and once I realised it was a scam I started acting like I was the one calling and asked for John. The guy on the other end got all mixed up and then just ended the call.

This number has been ringing me loads over the past few days and I finally picked up yesterday. The bloke said he was from Windows Tech Support and claimed my computer had a virus. I asked him how he knew that and he said he’d seen me logging in. When I questioned if making stuff up was something he’d practiced or just came naturally, he insisted he wasn’t lying and was trying to help. I told him hacking’s illegal and that I was reporting him to the police. He then threatened to keep calling if I didn’t do what he said and ended the call straight away.

This number called me today, but I let it ring out without answering. I have no clue who it was, so I just ignored it. Best not to engage, really!

Got called 3 times from this number today within a couple of hours, nobody said a word, just ended the call straight away!

This Asian bloke rang up sayin I’d downloaded some dodgy stuff but could fix it if I switched on me computer. I told him I was rushin off to work (it was 8 in the mornin) and hung up. Then he phoned back at 10 but I just let it ring out and called 1471 to check the number - it was the same one. I'm just an old retired pensioner, no clue about downloadin legal or illegal things.

Right at the start he asked me to switch on my computer, I told him it was already on (which it wasnt), then he told me to hit the Windows key and the R key together, after that he said to type "eventvwr" in the box that popped up and press OK. He asked me what showed up next and I just guessed 'Event Viewer', which turned out to be correct. But when he wanted to know the options underneath "event viewer local" I had no clue, and then suddenly I got booted out of the call.

SCAM ALERT. This number keeps popping up on my missed calls while I’m working nights. Today I answered and an Asian guy was on the line talking about my computer. I pretended I wasn’t interested in buying anything, but he said he wasn’t trying to sell me anything. He claimed he was calling to help fix a tech issue. When I told him I didn’t have a PC (which I actually do), he just hung up suddenly. Definitely dodgy.

Got a call from a really rude bloke who sounded Asian, shouting at me to switch on my computer so he could tell me what buttons to push. Proper terrified me. BT need to block this number ASAP.

I received a rather suspicious call from a gentleman named Jack, who sounded Asian. He requested that I power up my computer so he could assist me in eliminating some supposed virus issues. When I questioned his motives, he abruptly ended the call. Quite dodgy if you ask me!

Got a call from an Asian bloke claiming he was from Windows saying our PC had a virus. My lad just told him to get lost. Then I had a call with no one saying a word so I dialled *1471* to check the number.

They keep ringing me really early in the morning, if I managed to catch them once I’m sure they wouldn’t bother calling back again.

Got a really rude bloke from Asia sayin my laptop has a windows virus. I told him nicely to take me off his call list but he said he’d keep ringin if I didn’t listen to him! Proper annoyed this kind of thing goes on!

Received a call from this number early doors at 7:45 this morning... but surprise, surprise, there was absolutely nobody on the line when I answered. If I ever track down who’s behind this nonsense, well, let’s just say they might have a rather unfortunate encounter with my trusty chainsaw and wood chipper!

Non stop calls driving me mad!

I receive calls nearly every day from a number that claims to be investigating a Windows issue with my computer. They keep going on about needing to sort out a problem. However, after having a chat with Microsoft, it turns out there’s absolutely nothing wrong with my system, and they confirmed that it’s all part of a scam.

No one said a word when I picked up. Really curious how they got hold of our landline number since it’s completely new and hasn’t been shared with anyone. The only explanation I can think of is that BT or Sky have sold the number, even though SSC just set up the line a week ago.

I've received an incessant barrage of calls from this number, more than 20 times in just the last few days. It's rather peculiar that they never leave a voicemail, and when I try to ring them back, I'm met with a message saying the number isn’t recognised. I only became aware of the calls due to my call log, but after returning home one day to discover they'd attempted to reach me 10 times in under an hour, I decided enough was enough and blocked the number. It seemed pretty clear to me that this was just some pointless nuisance, and judging by what others are saying, I wasn’t far off the mark.

001212121212 rang me and some Asian person answered with an English name, like they usually do. They said they were from Windows, calling from London about the ninth time now. I just kept chatting to them, then they asked how old I was and if I spoke any language other than English, like Italian. I’m well aware they’re scammers but I enjoy messing about with them.

They called me on my home phone, and to be honest, I don't even have a computer!

Received a call from this number (001212121212), and an Asian chap was on the line, inquiring whether I had Windows. I responded with a cheeky, "Apologies, but I reside in a wigwam!" (How’s that for a reply?) and promptly disconnected the call.

I received a staggering 22 calls from this particular number today, with the first one coming in shortly after 7 in the morning. I didn’t pick up any of them since I was caught up with other things and didn’t recognise the number at all. Strangely, they didn’t leave any messages either. I've decided that moving forward, I won’t be answering calls from numbers I don’t recognise, unless they take the time to leave a message explaining who they are and why they’re trying to reach me. Such a nuisance!

An Asian chap was on the other end, claiming that a computer virus had informed him to 'bugger off' back to his dustbin. Quite the bizarre encounter, if you ask me!

A gentleman of Asian descent claiming to provide assistance with Windows has contacted me.

Since 12/04/16 they've been calling around every 20 minutes, we picked up once and it was an Asian guy saying the same thing. He sounded rude. We've had to disconnect our phone now because of the harassment. BT won't do anything unless we PAY them!!

Had a rather pushy bloke with an asian accent claiming my computer was infected with malware. He said he worked for the windows support team and could sort it, but when i told him my antivirus was really strong he insisted it wasn’t enough because he could see malware. I told him i wasn't interested and he said he’d ring me again. I ended the call.

What a load of nonsense! Some chump rang me claiming there were numerous viruses lurking on my computer. I told him straight that I wasn't born yesterday. He went on about being from Windows support, but I firmly told him that there's no way I’m granting anyone remote access-especially not to some random bloke who could be after my bank info. I told him to shove off and cut the call! Really, you’d have to be a bit daft to fall for that old trick, to be fair! My antivirus is as current as ever, and luckily, I’ve got a mate who’s a whizz at these things, so I’m sorted regardless.

I had a phone call from this number earlier today, with someone alleging to be from Windows technical assistance. I terminated the call immediately. It's well-known that Microsoft has explicitly stated that their tech support representatives don't reach out unless you've specifically set up a call with them.

The phone rang a couple of times before they abruptly disconnected. When I finally picked up on the third try, the bloke on the other end inquired whether I owned a Windows system. I clarified that I didn’t have one at my residence, to which he replied he meant a computer. I let him know I didn’t possess one at all and promptly ended the call. Odd, isn't it?

I keep getting calls from this number, with someone on the other end claiming there's a critical issue with my Windows system, insisting there’s a severe virus infesting my laptop. The chap wanted me to hop on my computer so he could guide me through some fixes. I told him I was busy, and he promised to call again. This morning, my mum received a call from this number on the 9th of March, 2016, and it was the same old nonsense as everyone else has mentioned. It’s quite baffling how they’ve obtained an OAP’s phone number, particularly when it’s solely reserved for emergencies. Honestly, I dread the thought of picking up, as I fear the caller might just find themselves suffering from a ruptured eardrum thanks to my personal alarm blaring away!

Received a call from this number earlier today, and I must admit, if I can trace where the call's originating, I might just pay them a visit - and they won’t be prepared for what happens next. The minute I picked up, they promptly hung up. The call came in at about 8:37 in the morning.

An Asian gentleman, purporting to be from Microsoft, insists there’s an issue with my laptop. It’s nothing but a scam! I've blocked the number, yet it’s still incredibly frustrating!

This morning at precisely 7:50, I received a rather alarming phone call. On the other end was a voice that appeared to belong to an Indian gentleman, and to my utter disbelief, he uttered some rather crude and offensive remarks regarding his anatomy. I’m absolutely livid! Just imagine if my kids had picked up the phone-what a dreadful experience that would have been!

I got a rather puzzling call earlier today. An Indian bloke was rambling on about some supposed corruption on my computer-could hardly grasp what he was on about. I suggested that if that was indeed the issue, I’d prefer to take it to a proper repair shop. That seemed to ruffle his feathers a bit, as he insisted those places are only for selling devices, not fixing them. Quite amusing, really! I lost my patience and hung up on him. Would you believe he rang back straightaway? I didn’t bother answering, but he called yet again, so I decided to pick up and just yelled for him to leave me be. Since then, I’ve missed two additional calls from them while I was out. What on earth do they want? He never really got to the crux of the matter!

I had a similar encounter today at 08:15. An Indian chap gave me a call and his script was strikingly familiar. Just said my piece and hung up! Cheers to that!

I received a call at 6:58am that jolted me awake. The only reason I’d expect a call at such an ungodly hour would be due to some family crisis. Thankfully, there was silence on the other end; otherwise, they would’ve been on the receiving end of my frustration! Just infuriating, to say the least.

Got a call at 6.58am and no one said a word. Nearly had a heart attack since the only reason I'd expect someone to call that early is if something was wrong with family. These calls are such a pain in the neck.

Some bloke calling from 001212121212 said he was with Microsoft and talked about my computer. I asked how he figured out I had one, and this Indian guy said he saw me log in. I told him hacking is illegal and that I’m reporting him, then the call just cut off.

they ring me up 5 times today. ignored the first 4, picked up the last one. some bloke saying my computer's got a virus. i told him it’s no big deal, but if his computer’s got one i can fix it for free. also joked about having a million in debt and asked if he could sort me out. hope they got the hint!

I had a rather annoying experience this morning (17th December) when I received a call from this number at the ungodly hour of 6:54 am! All they said was goodbye, and honestly, it’s quite vexing. At that time, when you have elderly family members, your mind races with the worry that something serious has happened. Utterly frustrating!

This morning at precisely 5:50 am on the 15th of December, I received an unexpected call from this rather peculiar number. I have a device that audibly announces the caller's number, and upon hearing this unusual one, I chose not to pick up. After a moment, I decided to check for any voicemail left-only to find a rather perplexing message that simply said, "Goodbye!" Quite irritating, to say the least!

Got a call on Fri 11th Dec and then again today Mon 14th. When I picked up, there was just a woman’s recorded voice saying “goodbye.” Looks like some automated message that’s glitching! Proper irritating.

This number has tried to get in touch with me six times, only to leave a robotic farewell on my voicemail. The call came through at an ungodly hour of 6:54 in the morning, and I initially feared it might be some sort of emergency involving my elderly father-in-law.

This morning at 07:14, I received a rather unexpected call from a chap who spoke in Indian accented English. He claimed to be from tech support, insisting that there was an issue with my computer. I couldn't help but chuckle; it was barely 07:15, for goodness' sake! I told him in no uncertain terms that I thought it was all a bit of a joke and promptly ended the call.

Received a call at half past seven this morning, and to my utter annoyance, the caller hung up straight away. I only picked up the phone because I’m anxiously awaiting news about my mother, who is currently in hospital at the age of 94. Frustrating!

I’ve been getting frequent calls on my home phone from this number, and all it does is utter "goodbye." That's rather odd! I’m definitely going to block it now.

Once more, I received a call from an Asian gentleman insisting he'd been trying to alert me for weeks about supposed issues with my computer running slowly. I firmly told him that my brand-new computer was working perfectly fine and mentioned that my husband is a computer expert. I asked him kindly to refrain from calling again. His reaction was quite something! He gasped, “You have a computer expert at home?” and then abruptly ended the call. Quite absurd, really!

I received a call this morning at 7 o'clock, but when I answered, there was complete silence on the line before they just disconnected. Quite baffling, really!

Called at ten to seven this morning and just left me hanging without uttering a word!
