Had a bunch of missed calls this afternoon with just one ring each time, all ending abruptly. Eventually, when I picked up, the person was asking for the previous owner of the company, who sadly passed away about 8 years ago. They kept quizzing me about our energy provider and how many businesses we're running, yet they wouldn’t say who they were or the reason for calling. I ended the call once they wouldn’t tell me who they were.

Got three calls to our office phone this arvo from a number we don’t recognise. Nobody was around to answer and they didn’t bother leaving any message either time. Bit odd really.

Saw a missed call from a number with an American area code, so I decided to check who it was.

As soon as I picked up, they ended the call. Lately, loads of calls like this have been coming through, mostly pretending to be from 'energy providers'. We're actually a church, so it's a complete waste of their effort!
