I let it go to voicemail and then just hung up. After seeing all these other comments, I’m actually quite relieved!

Don’t trust this number, it’s a total scam! BT wouldn’t call you like that - only your actual provider can disconnect your internet or landline. I’ve contacted BT myself to report it, so just hang up and block the number straight away.

I got a call from an American number yesterday, and now this morning my elderly mum’s phone rang again from a completely different number. These scammers are so cruel, trying to trick vulnerable people into handing over their bank details. Can’t believe they’re pestering her twice in one day!

Today, I got a call on my landline saying my internet and phone line were about to be disconnected right away. They asked me to press 1 to speak to their tech team to sort it out.

This lady with an American accent said she was from BT, going on about how my IP address had been hacked or something along those lines. Just the same old nonsense really.

Is there a way to stop these calls? I'm getting like 6 every single day, and they never bother to leave a message. The numbers always switch up, so BT call protector ain’t doing anything. It’s so frustrating!

Total scam, honestly don’t bother wasting your time on it.

Had a similar run-in, I reckon if you do what she says and hit 1, you might end up ringing up a massive charge on your phone bill.

Another robotic message popped up. Honestly, how many times do these muppets have to warn me they'll cut my phone off if I don’t hit some random key? Fine, just do it then - cut me off, I dare ya! Not that it’s gonna happen though!

Got a call from someone pretending to be BT saying I’d get disconnected unless I hit a specific number on my phone. Total nonsense if you ask me!

Some woman with a super thick American accent called me, and I couldn’t catch a single word she said. I just let her go on and on till she finally got bored and hung up. From what I gathered, she was probably trying to warn me that my internet would get cut off soon unless I rang some number she gave.
