I received a rather suspicious call from a gentleman with an Asian accent who claimed to be representing Microsoft. He insisted that they owed me some money because they couldn't fix my computer. He mentioned he was calling from Cambridge and urged me to sit at my computer to complete a form following his instructions. I eventually hung up and blocked the number, but despite that, they keep attempting to reach me!

In just two days, I got calls twice. The first time I told them I wasn’t interested and they mentioned Microsoft Windows. Today, I told them I don’t own a computer and asked how they got my number since it’s a landline. They said it was from a database. I told them I'm on the TPS and that I’d be reporting them. Then they just ended the call!

Got two calls in a row in the last couple of days but no one said a word. Proper weird.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he was from the Windows Tech Support team and that he worked at Microsoft in Cambridge. What made it worse than a usual scam was he used what looked like a real UK phone number and even gave me an address that’s where Microsoft actually has an office. You can tell someone did a bit of digging, or at least used info that’s easy to find online. Definitely a dodgy number, stay away!

Some bloke from India called me, probably a scam sort of thing. I just told him to find proper work with a legit firm instead of messing about with these dodgy scams.

There was this guy with a pretty thick Indian accent who said his name was Michael and claimed he was calling on behalf of Microsoft.

Answered the call but no one spoke, then it just ended the call. Pretty weird.

Today, my elderly mother received a call from someone claiming she owned a laptop, which, in reality, she doesn’t possess at all. When she explained this to the caller, insisting there was no such device, they persistently argued that she did. This has understandably upset her, and she's decided to notify the authorities about the incident.

Luckily, I’ve got an answering machine that we leave on, even when we're at home.

Received a call regarding a problem with Windows at 8:45 on 11th July 2016. An individual of Asian descent contacted us, and it gave off strong vibes of a scam. We decided to hang up right away.

Absolutely, it's a classic case of a Windows scam. These chaps are masquerading as Microsoft, aren't they?
