Yesterday, a certain number rang me but abruptly terminated the call. Today, I received a call from the same number once again.

Curiously, I lifted the phone near the fire alarm to assess its functionality.

I'm keen to observe if any further calls come through.

A man with an Indian accent phoned our landline regarding an accident. Without delay, my wife informed him that we are registered with the TPS. His response was extremely offensive, using foul language and disrespect, after which he abruptly ended the call. Almost immediately, he called again and made an inappropriate request towards my wife. This despicable individual upset my wife for the remainder of the day. BT advised us to report the incident to the police, but they themselves were unhelpful in blocking the number. It is disheartening that these fraudulent and malicious callers continue to violate section 43 of the Telecommunications Act of 1984, with little being done to prevent or prosecute them. Consequently, I have been compelled to purchase an advanced call blocking phone.

I experienced the sound of heavy breathing over the phone before the call ended abruptly.

I recently received a call from an individual with a strong Asian accent for the first time. When I asked them to repeat what they said, they responded by abruptly hanging up the phone. Shortly after, I received a second call, but this time it was completely silent. As a result, I have decided to place a call bar on this particular number.

I got a call from this number for the very first time, the bloke on the line spoke with a really thick Asian accent. When I asked him to say it again, he hung up straight away. Then he rang back a bit later but there was absolutely no sound at all. I’ve gone ahead and blocked this number now.

Answered the phone and as soon as I did, they just cut me off. Definitely some sort of scam, I'll be blocking it straight away.

I keep getting calls from foreign numbers on my landline, but when I answer there's never anything there. It’s happening a few times a day now. My son does 12 hour nightshifts so he needs to sleep during the day, and these calls just wake him up. What’s the use of ex-directory or TPS then if these annoying calls still get straight through? At least on my mobile I can block them easily. BT really needs to fix this because I’m paying over £100 a month for the service and it’s not good enough!

I received a call from a male with an Indian accent who asked if I had been in an accident. Since I have received multiple calls like this before, I decided to play along and pretended that I had. After wasting his time for a few minutes, he eventually got frustrated and told me to go away inappropriately. Interestingly, my neighbour overheard the conversation and found it extremely amusing.

I picked up the phone, and it definitely felt like a call centre on the other end. I said hello a couple of times, but then they just hung up on me. Strange!

I received a fourth call from this number, and I must say, they're really stepping up their game. It was a man with an Indian accent who claimed the calls were being recorded. He wanted me to turn on my computer so that he could supposedly refund me money. Unfortunately, my husband fell victim to a scam where he paid a company to fix my work laptop, which wasn't actually broken. It seems like our details have been leaked somehow. This person is really persistent, but I firmly told him that I won't be turning on the computer since nobody uses it anymore.

I’ve registered on TPS and yet these annoying calls keep coming through every single day. Total pain!

I received a phone call and could hear noise in the background, but no one said anything. I decided to end the call without any further conversation.

They ring about every half hour. Sometimes it's totally quiet, other times you hear someone say "hello" before quickly hanging up. You can hear a busy call centre noise playing in the background.

I received a recent phone call from a man of Asian descent using this particular number. He claimed that I had been involved in an accident, but I informed him that I had not. Surprisingly, he then proceeded to repeatedly inquire about the size of my breasts. Taken aback by this inappropriate line of questioning, I promptly ended the call. In an attempt to lodge a complaint about this offensive conversation, I tried calling back the number but found that it was unrecognized.

I received a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming that I had been involved in an accident. Even after explaining that I hadn't been in any accidents, the caller persisted with their insistence that I had. When I requested to speak to their supervisor, I was transferred to another individual who had a similar sounding voice. This pattern repeated once more, until I finally spoke to a third person. This individual threatened to call me 20 times a day, every day. After disconnecting the call, the phone rang again and the same person exclaimed, "I told you I would phone you every single day, 20 times!" Frustrated, I ended the call.

I recently reported an accident to Direct Line. They transferred the incident to Slater Gordon Solutions. On Saturday, I received a call from a man with an Indian accent regarding the accident (001163485302). I promptly ended the call but suspect that this individual got hold of my information through one of the aforementioned companies.

On a Saturday, my home phone received a call from this particular number! Without answering the call, I used the 1471 service to reveal the number and promptly added it to my continuously expanding list of blocked numbers. To tackle these bothersome cold callers, I have a method in place wherein I request them to make my phone ring once, hang up, and then call back. Only then will I answer the call. This strategy allows me to efficiently handle such situations. Visit theonlywayproductions.com for more details.

I received a call from an Indian call centre representing Accident Helpline, claiming that a family member had been in a small car accident. Upon expressing my skepticism and asking to be removed from their call list, the person on the line responded with inappropriate and offensive language, saying that they wanted to engage in sexual activity. I asked for clarification, as I couldn't believe what I had heard, and they repeated their offensive remark. Not only was this unsettling and unnerving, but it was also completely inappropriate.

Furthermore, there was an individual with an Indian accent who identified himself as a representative from a company similar to Accident & Recovery Service. In response to my query about how he obtained my phone number (as I intended to inform him about being registered with the TPS), he proceeded to rudely remark, 'this number belongs to a foolish individual!' before abruptly ending the call.

A gentleman, whose accent seemed to be of Indian origin, introduced himself as a representative of a legal services firm. Just got a call from someone saying their name was ‘Imram’ - sounded exactly like one of those national accident helpline scams. You could totally tell they were in some call centre, loads of noise in the background.
