Got a call saying they were doing a hostile takeover of Henderson India and offered to pay £12 to £14 per share. Told me not to tell anyone about it. Sent me a form that looked pretty legit. Since then, I've had about five more calls but just ignored them. The number they called from was 001111100000.

Calling from New York, someone rang up wanting to chat about stocks I don’t even have anymore. When I hinted they might be running a scam, they got really insulted. Honestly, they seemed a bit dodgy and totally off the mark. This wasn’t my first time getting a call like this - I reckon they were from Mindanao, Philippines or somewhere like that.

Some woman called, saying she wanted to do a hostile takeover of kcom and asked for my shares. I had to tell her to get her facts straight since we got bought out last year and I don’t hold any shares anymore. Bet she didn’t do her homework before ringing!

Called me around 3:50 pm. Just kept repeating "hello" over and over. Sounded like they weren't speaking English.

Somebody called me saying they were Christina, from a New York law firm, and were interested in purchasing shares. Sounded a bit dodgy to me.

Had a few calls from someone saying they were from a law firm in Chicago, trying to buy shares for some kind of takeover. They kept ringing me, but I just didn’t pick up. Sounds like the usual scam stuff to me. Best to steer clear and don’t share any info with them!

Got a call from someone saying they're a stockbroker trying to buy shares for a hostile takeover. They promised a big payout if I sold my shares quickly. Sounds sketchy to me, and I’ve heard this trick has been doing the rounds in both the UK and the States for a while. Definitely a scam!

Got a call from someone who said they were connected to some sort of scam involving the liquidated NXT shares. Seemed pretty dodgy to me.
