10 yearsGot a call from someone claiming there was an issue with my TalkTalk account and wanting to sort it out for me. I told them I’d contact TalkTalk myself. They asked to get access to my computer to fix the problems. The woman tried to convince me to give her a chance and prove she was legit, but I wasn’t having it. Said no thanks and hung up straight away.TalkTalk10 yearsActually got a few calls from a woman called Theresa using this number, saying she’s from ‘TalkTalk maintenance’ and there’s an issue with my internet. She knew my TalkTalk phone number, account info and other personal stuff, so she sounded legit. I just hung up straight away though. I reckon my info might have been leaked during that big TalkTalk hack back in 2016, even though they said otherwise. I haven’t reported it to TalkTalk by phone or email because I’m worried the scammers might intercept it.
