Just received a rather peculiar phone call a couple of hours back. It was oddly silent, so I decided to end the call. Now I’m rather pleased with that choice!

Got a call on my work number but they just cut off straight away. Cheers to all who shared what these calls were about.

Whenever they ring me, I just mess about to give them a bit of their own medicine since they bother me so much. My main concern is when they go after people who are more vulnerable. I don’t get why this still happens when we’ve signed up with the TPS. How on earth do these dodgy folks get hold of our phone numbers?

They claimed to be from the Windows 10 support team and warned me I'd be banned from using any Microsoft products from my home. When I told them it was a scam, they acted like I’d insulted them and said they wouldn’t ask for any cash. I just ended the call. They rang back three more times. Honestly, it’s pretty upsetting and not nice at all.

Oh, here we go again! Just like the tales I've read from others, the chap with the dodgy accent was trying his luck with me. I don’t own a computer, yet he kept pushing, insisting I had a Windows machine. It’s high time we started holding these deceitful blighters accountable for their fearmongering antics!

Hung up right after answering. Cheers to everyone warning that these are scammers using a new number I haven't seen before. Honestly, it seems the world’s full of people with no morals just looking to make a fast quid by any means, so they keep ringing and sadly someone always falls for their tricks. Still, these calls must be costing them something, and until phone firms do something about blocking these numbers, we’re stuck dealing with the constant nuisance.

As I answered the call, the line went dead. I appreciate the alerts from others regarding the ongoing scam attempts. Cheers for the warning!

I got a call from 000527448840 today at 2.32pm. It was a guy with an Indian accent telling me there was a problem with my computer. He claimed I'd missed loads of emails about it and asked why I never replied. I told him I hadn’t been on my PC, so I wouldn't have seen any emails. Then he said some person in America was trying to hack into my machine and he was going to shut it down immediately. I just told him again I wasn’t on the computer and hung up.

Three phone calls in just five minutes-talk about relentless! They said I was managing my Hotmail account via their server, which was absolute nonsense. I quickly told them what I thought of that! It’s incredibly irritating being harassed by these idiots.

I received a call from this number on the 3rd of June, 2016, with someone claiming to be Michael from Microsoft, insisting I had an issue with my Windows machine. I responded by informing him that I don’t even own a Microsoft computer and accused him of being a deceitful scammer. I told him to shove off! Interestingly, this same number has tried to reach me a few months back too. My advice is to keep your lips sealed if they call; they've probably already got a bit of info on you, so don’t hand over anything else!

I don't understand why these calls never seem to stop. I work from home and get bombarded with scammers trying to con me all day long. I barely even pick up the phone now, but the nonstop ringing is driving me crazy!

They've rung me a couple times now, first time they said there was an issue with my PC, needless to say I told them exactly what I thought. The next time I picked up, they just dropped the call right away. I can handle it, but I worry older folks might fall for this. You would think authorities could track these lot down.

Why is nothing ever done about these calls? Just got a call where nobody said a word. It's all scammers, scammers, someone seriously needs to sort these annoying pests out.

Blimey, what a determined lot they are! I regretfully took a call the other day, with someone insisting that I hadn't updated my computer and that my phone services would be switched off in just 25 minutes for a whole fortnight! After a second call-this time threatening an immediate cut-off for a full 25 days-the chap had the audacity to call me 'rather cheeky.' That was the last straw, so I firmly told him to never ring this number again before hanging up. Since then, I've ignored five more calls from the same number. Reading through the previous comments, I'm now rather worried that I might start receiving calls in the dead of night! How terribly inconvenient!

I received a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be Brian, who had a rather questionable Asian accent! He presented himself as a computer engineer, alleging there were issues with my computer. I swiftly pointed out that he was neither Brian nor a computer whiz, and insisted that my computer was completely fine. Then, "Brian" switched tactics and began calling me "darling," even attempting to compliment what he presumed was my Russian accent. Wrong again! I firmly told him that I was not his darling and that his call was nothing more than a scam. He carried on chatting away as I hung up the phone.

These individuals are classic fraudsters, spinning tall tales about your computer issues, even when you don’t possess one! You should let them know that we’re well aware of their ruse.

This morning, a chap by the name of "Brian" gave us a ring, claiming that some imaginary computer had been struck down by a virus. It's quite alarming how he got our details correct! I ended the conversation quickly, not wanting to entertain his nonsense. Honestly, these scams have been plaguing people for ages now. It’s high time we had a widespread public awareness campaign - something substantial on TV channels, along with posters plastered everywhere, even on the sides of buses and in local libraries. Until these crooks start losing money, we’ll be dealing with this issue for a long while yet.

Received a call from this number earlier today-an Asian lady who introduced herself as "Christine." She claimed she was ringing regarding an issue with my computer. I couldn't help but ask, "Which computer?" After a brief silence, she replied, "All of them." Naturally, I probed further for the company's name, only to be met with "Online Support." When I requested a contact number, she mumbled something incoherent and before I could ask again, the line went dead. I dialled 1471 and got this number. Curiously enough, the same "Online Support" outfit tried to reach me this morning, but that time their number was withheld.

Received a cheeky call earlier today. They claimed it was regarding my computer. I kept him on the line, acting as though I was following his instructions. When he inquired about what was on my screen, I told him I saw a notification declaring him a scamming lowlife. He then cheekily accused me of reading from a script, to which I replied, "Not at all! But I reckon you just might be, and by the way, the police are tracing this call." He swiftly hung up, calling me mad in the process. I enjoy keeping them on the line; as long as they’re chatting with me, they can't target any unsuspecting victims, and hey, it's their bill they're racking up!

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent who said her name was Elaine Johnson! She was claiming there were serious problems with my computer. I went "Oh no, wait a sec," and put the phone down. I could hear her asking if I was there a few minutes later, then she just hung up after around three minutes. She phoned back about half an hour later, so this time I left her hearing the TV news before ending the call. Then I used 1471 to check where the number was from.

Back in September, I got in touch with these lot after speaking to someone from EE’s tech team. He said he couldn’t sort my issue and would pass my details onto Microsoft, saying someone would be in touch. I ended up paying £100 but my laptop still wouldn’t work. Since it was an EE guy who said he would transfer it to Microsoft, I didn’t really question it. Just a heads up - be careful with folks claiming to be from EE.

They said there was an issue with my computers, so I asked, "which one?" and they replied "all of them". So I played along and gave them access to an old laptop I had. They ended up putting malware and keyloggers on it. Then they wanted me to put in my bank info to 'fix' the problem. Obviously, I didn’t do that and just wasted about 40 minutes of their time instead.

Received a rather dodgy cold call today attempting to gain access to my computer. Not a chance in hell I’d fall for that!

Got a call earlier today from some bloke saying he had to discuss my computer. Told him I wasn’t interested and that his call broke the rules. He got really annoyed and reckoned it wasn’t illegal as he claimed to be from Windows. He was still yelling when I hung up on him. A few seconds later, my phone rang again but the number showed 'UNAVAILABLE'. I didn’t pick up and there was no voicemail.

Got a call around 12.15 today. I told them I wasn’t interested and put the phone down. Then they rang back five minutes later. I said I didn’t want any more calls from them. Despite that, they phoned three more times. Eventually, we picked up and asked who they were and what company they represented. The bloke said his name was Peter Jones but refused to share his number, then got really rude and started being abusive. Definitely looks like a scam to me.

Got a call today around 12.15 and told them I wasn’t interested before hanging up. Then, they rang back just five minutes later. I asked them to stop calling me. However, they called another three times after that. Finally, I picked up and asked for their name and company. The bloke said his name was Peter Jones but wouldn’t share any phone number. He ended up being quite rude and hostile. Definitely seems like a scam to me.

They rang me around 12.15 today. I told them I'm not interested and put the phone down. Then a few minutes later they phoned again. I told them not to bother calling anymore. But they rang another three times after that. Eventually I picked up and asked who they were and what company they represented. The guy said his name was Peter Jones but wouldn’t share a number, and then he started getting rude and aggressive. Definitely sounds like some sort of scam.

They rang at 8.15 in the morning but didn’t say anything when I answered. Luckily, after reading the earlier comments, I now know how to handle it if they call back. Honestly, these lot should be punished proper and left out in the cold.

11/01/16 11:35am Got a call from this number but didn’t pick up because I didn’t recognise it. They didn’t leave any voicemail either. My number’s ex-directory, so I’m not sure how they even got hold of it.

I recently received a call from an Indian lady purporting to be from Sky's technical support, insisting she required remote access to my computer for necessary updates. She ominously warned me that failure to comply could result in my Sky account being suspended! What a cheek! After I ended the call, she continued to bombard me with calls. I’ll certainly be blocking her once I'm back home! Just a word of caution to everyone - steer clear of these scammers!

Got a call from some Microsoft scammers, can't believe these lot are still at it. Now they're saying they can wipe out all your debts for £50 a month and even post you paperwork asking for your bank info. Watch out for dodgy comparison sites too, that’s probably how they nab your details.

Received a rather dodgy call today from a woman with an Eastern European twang. She claimed that there was an issue with my Windows PC and that it had been compromised. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

A lady of Pakistani descent reached out to me, seemingly worried about my 'Windows' machine, though she didn't clarify which one it was. She appeared quite persistent, stating she'd call back at a time that would suit me better, and so forth.

Not sure who rang us. We never pick up calls from unknown or blocked numbers. There was no voicemail left either. Got the call at 13:37 on 8/1/16. Wonder if the "Authorities" are able to track down these numbers? Cheers to those who shared their thoughts before me.

I keep receiving calls from this number, and every time it's a person with an accent inquiring about my name. Whenever I press for details about who's calling, they abruptly hang up. It's quite vexing and irritating-these sorts of calls really ought to be eliminated entirely!

Received a staggering 23 calls this morning, all between 8:57 and 11:18. It seems they refuse to engage with any male voices on the line. Quite peculiar, really!

I always have my trusty old 'Thunderer' football referee whistle close to the phone. As they launch into their spiel, I often interject, asking them to speak louder, yet I manage to catch only one word in five, prompting me to request them to start over. By this stage, I can only hope they’re jamming their headsets deep into their ear canals, at which point I let out a good, hearty blast on the whistle. More often than not, the line goes silent, and let me tell you, the sheer delight of knowing I might have stirred a bit of frustration is absolutely priceless!

Received a rather dubious call early Saturday morning from what appeared to be a spoofed number (00052 744840 showed up on my caller ID). It was one of those classic "your computer has a problem" scams. Quite an unwelcome disturbance to start the weekend!

Got another one of those dodgy scam calls today. The bloke claimed there was a huge mess with my Windows PC and loads of errors showing up on his screen. He wanted to know exactly what I was seeing. Luckily, my lad was around, and he’s a network whizz, so he told me to say I’m running LINUX. That throwed the guy off big time! He then admitted they don’t handle LINUX systems. I asked him how he was seeing any errors at all then??? Ended the call there. Quite a laugh, to be honest!

They purport to represent Microsoft, droning on about wanting to get into your computer. The safest course of action? Either ignore the call altogether or pick up just to hang up. Remember, it's expensive for them to ring you, so don't linger on the line! Complete numpties, honestly!

I’ve been plagued by this number ringing my phone repeatedly, between half nine and ten on the morning of Friday, the 23rd of October. The person on the other end claimed to be Richard Berrect from BT, insisting there’s some sort of issue with my computer. He mentioned he’d sent me an email, but surprise, surprise - nothing has come through. He’s quite relentless, and even after we warned him about contacting the police if he persisted, he still insists on calling back. It seems he just won’t accept that I’m not interested!

Got a call from an Indian bloke claiming to be with BT. He threw out some fake hacker name saying they were trying to get into my bank account via email. I played along just for a laugh but didn’t fall for any of it. He said he’ll ring again tomorrow once I supposedly have my laptop back so he can "help". These calls are proper scams and such a pain, but using racist words is just not on.

I had a chap ring me claiming to be Richard, going on about how my computer was sending out faulty signals and insisting I sit in front of it to resolve the issue. I told him to do one, but he’s since called back six times in a row only to hang up each time. I’ve just let it ring through to voicemail and decided to let him have his little game. What a bunch of numpties!
