We got calls from this number twice in just one week. The last time, my missus answered, and even though she didn’t catch the number, she was told the caller was with TalkTalk. She ended the call pretty quickly. Today, I answered and told them straight up it was a scam before hanging up. I checked the number by dialling 1471, then blocked it and made sure to report it to both TalkTalk and the relevant government authority.

This blasted nuisance of a number called me once more this morning at precisely 9:27, claiming to be from TalkTalk. I made it abundantly clear that I recognised it as a scam and promptly ended the call. I’ve since blocked the number and reported it. They seem to have a habit of ringing me regularly, always from various numbers.

I asked them to confirm my TalkTalk account number and, surprisingly, they got it exactly right! But after that, they wouldn’t share any other details. I changed my internet provider about a month ago, so I’m no longer with TalkTalk and haven’t got their router anymore. It’s worrying because I bet loads of folks are falling victim to this trick. With all the past security problems at TalkTalk, it seems like real account numbers have leaked online or even on the ‘dark web,’ and scammers are definitely making use of them.

I got a call from someone pretending to be TalkTalk, telling me my internet was compromised and that my router had been hacked. They said my connection would be off for about 15 days starting Monday, and that a tech would come round next week with a replacement router. Then they asked me to switch on my computer so they could “fix” some settings. I said I don’t even own a computer, and they ended the call almost straight away. Quite dodgy if you ask me!

She just wouldn't believe that I’m not related to the person she was asking for, even though I told her I'm their carer. Honestly, I’m worried about how she spoke to the elderly woman she was trying to reach. Such an unpleasant experience.

Today I got another call like this, it’s actually the third one in just over a week claiming to be from TalkTalk. I've already switched my number before but looks like it’s happening all over again. I ended up calling TalkTalk to report the numbers I’d received.

Had a call like that too. I asked the lad if he worked for TalkTalk and told him to send me an email with details, so I could check it out. Never got anything, so I just ended the call. Might still send an email to TalkTalk to be safe.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with TalkTalk saying there was an issue with my internet. When I asked why he was calling, all I got was him repeating his name and “TalkTalk” over and over, like five times! To be honest, I don’t think he even spoke proper English. It was quite confusing.
