I had a rather tiresome encounter with an individual claiming to be from some alleged accident assistance service. I wasn't in the mood for their nonsense and promptly put them in their place with a few well-chosen words. Honestly, you’d think they’d have better luck elsewhere!

I received a call from this number in the early afternoon today, 31 August 2016. I answered with a couple of "Hellos"-I've learned not to share my name anymore. Strangely, the other end remained silent and hung up after a mere five seconds. When I checked back with 1471, it revealed the number as 0002089860000.

I’m on the TPS list, so I’m quite annoyed by this. The caller ID flashed up as an “International number,” and I was greeted by a chap with an Indian accent who introduced himself-though I couldn’t catch his name. He went on about working for Accident Advice Services. I didn’t let him finish; I simply replied, “I’ll wager you are!” and promptly cut the line. I’m well aware that this is all just a dodgy scam!
