This was the third call I'd had this week from someone saying my internet was involved in something dodgy. When I asked her to tell me my name, she just cut the call off. Proper weird.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent saying there was an issue with my internet - though I know it's working fine. She refused to chat with me and kept asking for the main account holder. She said she'd ring back tomorrow. Figured I'd see if anyone else had this experience. How do these people even get hold of our numbers? Mine's supposed to be ex directory!

After moving to my new house and getting my telephone line set up on 8th August, I received a call from the aforementioned number right away. However, as I was busy, I couldn't answer the call. Later, I decided to check the number by dialing 1471 and found it to be an unfamiliar one. They have been persistently calling me since then, but today I finally answered. It quickly dawned on me that something was amiss when the lady caller had a strong accent and struggled with English. I listened for a brief moment and made it clear that I didn't wish to speak to her before hanging up the phone.

This number 0002075676666 has phoned me so many times I can't even keep track. Just in the last five minutes, they've rung me seven times! They claimed to be from BT and said that someone was using my internet for some dodgy business. I said I've already informed BT's fraud team and the police about them, and they hung up right away.

Got two calls from someone who hung up right away, then this guy with an Indian accent came on saying our internet was being used elsewhere. He sounded worried and asked what we should do next. He mentioned he'd send us an email, but I wouldn’t hold your breath on that. Just brace yourself for loads more annoying calls!

We received another call from them earlier today, but as soon as I picked up, they hung up abruptly. We have noticed that whenever we answer the call and mention our phone number, it tends to discourage them. Typically, we only get a call from this number once every three months.

Loads of scam calls lately, and I usually mess with them. One time, they wanted my Windows key, so I just made up something silly like f00k0ffwonk3r. They didn't stay on the line much longer after that. Another occasion, I pretended I was calling from a company and told them I’d just hand the phone over to the IT team - didn’t take them long to cut the call!

I got a call from a bloke claiming to be with BT saying there was something wrong with my internet. Then he told me to check my event viewer and said all those logs were from hackers. Felt like such a scam. I hung up after a few minutes but he’s called me like 10 times since then! Proper annoying.

Every day, a woman with an Indian accent calls repeatedly, asking to speak to the main account holder of our BT service. She claims it's regarding the security of our BT account. I keep explaining that my husband is not available, but she insists on speaking with him. It takes her a considerable amount of time to speak when I pick up the call. If she calls again, I plan to inform her that she is being investigated. Appreciate your assistance in dealing with this matter.

I have an intelligent response for all those scammers from other countries. I inquire if they believe in a higher power, to which they have all responded affirmatively. I retort, reminding them that their god is observing their actions and their actions would surely disappoint their mothers. They can expect to hear some profanity, although it may not be in English.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent, he was saying there was some kind of problem with my internet security. I told him my internet was fine, no issues at all. Then he asked me, “So, how’s your internet connection?” That’s when I got weird vibes and just hung up. Definitely felt dodgy to me.

Just got a call from someone saying they're with BT. He said he's gonna send me an email with steps on how to stop freeloaders who’re apparently using my internet and making it slower. He even said he’d ring me back to help set up some software he’s sending over for my phones and tablets. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

I keep getting constant calls from a certain number, with a lady who sounds Indian but struggles to speak English fluently. She claims to be calling to alert me about issues with my BT router. No matter how many times I tell her that my router is functioning fine and ask her not to call again, she persists in ringing me. Now there's another Indian man calling with the exact same message, and despite informing him that he is being dishonest and advising him not to call me anymore, the calls continue to come through.

The call was a bit muffled, sounded like someone from abroad. I kept saying I couldn’t catch what he was saying and then he just ended the call. He was talking about some issue with my internet connection or something? Can't say for sure.

The person claiming to be from BT seemed to have limited proficiency in English and had an Indian accent. They alleged that my internet connection was being used for illegal activities (yet, if that were the case, why wouldn't the police or similar authorities contact me directly?). The call abruptly ended when I declined their request to power on my laptop. I've been receiving persistent calls from them on a daily basis for a whole week now.

I'm absolutely fed up with receiving calls from this particular number. It has gotten to the point where I no longer bother picking up when I see it appear on my mobile. There was a time when they would ring me nearly every couple of hours.

These fraudsters ring up trying to make you install some software so they can hack into your PC. Never fall for it, because once they get access, they'll swipe your bank info and drain your account. When I can spare a moment, I like to mess about and string them along, just to eat up their time. I act like I’m following their instructions but keep coming up with silly hiccups, like "Oops, I accidentally turned it off by mistake. Just gotta wait for it to reboot now." At least while I’m keeping them busy, they’re not scamming other people.

I had a call from some bloke named "Charles" saying he was from BT. I don't get why these muppets think picking a posh English name makes them sound legit. Told him where to shove it and the idiot had the nerve to ring back right away asking what I said. So I gave him an earful and then hung up on him. It's getting out of hand, this. Loads of scam calls coming from India, and it’s obvious they must be getting BT customer numbers straight from insiders at BT or something.

I'm extremely irritated by the incessant calls from this particular number. The individuals on the other end claim to be representatives of BT and assert that their operations are carried out at BT's registered address in London. Unfortunately, their heavy Indian accent makes it challenging for me to comprehend their words. It is evident that they are attempting to scam me into granting them access to my computer. To worsen matters, they persistently call me five times each day. Can you please guide me on how I can effectively block them?

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT, saying there was an issue with my BT router. Thing is, I don’t even have a BT router! He kept going on about loads of folks trying to get into it, but I told him my house is tucked away, so anyone would have to walk right up my driveway just to get near the thing. Still, he wouldn’t give up. This is the third time they’ve done this now.

I receive an average of 4 phone calls per day from the same number. Each time, it's an individual from India claiming to be working for BT. I decided to call BT to express my frustration and much to my surprise, an Indian representative (who struggled with English) answered and couldn't offer any assistance. They promised to call me back today, but that never happened. It was during the fourth call from this suspicious number this morning, within a span of 3 hours, that I lost my temper. I confronted the woman on the other end, accusing her of being a scammer and demanding that she stop bothering me. It's rather disheartening that BT hasn't taken any action against these fraudulent calls using their name. I am seriously considering switching to Virgin Media.

This morning, I received a call from a lady with an Indian accent who claimed to be from BT. She informed me that there was a reported issue with my internet, and that there were unauthorized individuals using my connection. She asked me to log onto my PC or laptop so she could guide me through fixing the problem. I explained that I don't own a PC or laptop; I only use broadband for watching television. Surprisingly, she then asked if I was experiencing any pop-up ads. I responded with a no, and she quickly concluded that there was no issue with my internet connection after all.

This number rings me up about five times daily, and even though my number is supposed to be unlisted, BT say there’s nothing they can do! What am I even paying for? I definitely don’t want my details anywhere public and was assured I'd be protected from scam calls. Total rubbish. I just spoke to BT again - they can’t fix it right now but promised a “manager” will ring me on Monday. Anyone know a good phone and broadband provider, but please not TalkTalk? Cheers.

We have been continuously annoyed by this particular number for several days now. It could be related to a phone call we received ten days ago from someone pretending to be from BT, with an Indian accent. We informed them that we were aware it was a fraudulent call and asked them not to contact us again. What is different this week is that each time the phone rings, there is no one on the other end of the line. As soon as no one speaks, we attempt to end the call. I did try using a whistle once, but it did not deter them from calling. At this point, we are attempting to ignore these repeated calls.

We've been receiving numerous calls from this number for the past four days, and it's really starting to annoy us. Every time we answer, there's no one on the other end, leading us to believe that it's possibly a recorded message. We've even tried blowing a whistle into the phone line once, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. It's quite frustrating because they keep calling even as I'm writing this! If these calls are from the fake BT representatives, it's worth noting that we had already received a call from them about ten days ago. On that occasion, an individual with an Indian accent claimed to be from BT, but we recognized it as a hoax and explicitly told them not to contact us again. Interestingly, our neighbour experienced a similar situation a couple of days ago when someone pretending to be from BT called them as well.

I have been contacted by this number a total of 9 times in the span of two days. The caller claims to be from BT, but I find it strange that they are calling from a number starting with 000 instead of the usual 0800 number. When I questioned them about this, they ignored my question and continued their spiel. I also asked for my account number, and the representative assured me that they would email me the details, but I have not received anything so far. I am extremely frustrated with this group and their constant calls.
