Got a call on my landline from someone listed as "international." I just hung up straight away because my answer machine kicked in. After seeing what others said here, I’m glad I didn’t pick up. Cheers to "who called me" for the info!

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying something about me being involved in an accident, which isn’t true. Told him he must have the wrong person but he kept pushing it. I then told him I’m on the TPS list and my number’s ex-directory, so he just hung up.

This number just rung me up earlier. Some guy with an Indian accent said my number came from the auto insurance bureau’s records as I supposedly had a car crash in the past couple of years. When I mentioned I was on the TPS list, he didn’t seem bothered and I ended up saying I don’t even drive. Then he started calling me a liar and just cut the call. Proper rude!

somebody rang claiming to be from an accident support service, saying they were contacting me about a car crash i supposedly told my insurance about. i told them i hadn’t been involved in any accident and reminded them my phone number’s on the tps, so they shouldn’t be phoning me. then they just ended the call.
