Got a voicemail from 0002003583 with a recorded voice claiming to be from HMRC, saying I was under investigation for tax fraud. They told me to press 1 to sort it out or else I'd have an arrest warrant issued right away. I was pretty worried since I’ve already paid my taxes, but I didn’t press anything. Instead, I quickly searched the number online and it turned out to be a total scam. Tried calling back just to check, but the line was busy. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Got a call saying HMRC had a fraud case against me and to hit 1 straight away. Didn’t buy it at all, felt like a total scam.

Got a recorded message claiming to be from HMRC saying there’s a court order against me because I supposedly owe them money. They said if I didn’t press 1 to speak with them, they’d send a warrant for my arrest right away. It’s total rubbish obviously, but what worries me is how vulnerable older folks with phones might be. I’ve noticed these scammers use loads of different phone numbers, with just the final two digits changing - I even got called from a different number earlier. I’ve passed the details onto HMRC so they’re aware.
