Have no clue who the number belonged to. Got a call at my mum’s saying £600 had gone from her credit card and to press 1 if it was her. She’s never even had a card. Don’t know the number and can’t seem to block it.

I got a call from a private number, and it looked like the latest BT scam going around. Some bloke with a posh English accent told me my BT internet and phone were hacked or something, and that they were about to be cut off. He said if I wanted to stop it, I needed to press 1 to chat with a manager. Honestly, I’m not daft - I spoke to the real BT just yesterday! What is wrong with these idiots, don’t they have anything better to do?

Got two voicemail today, one early morning about 9ish and another around 2pm. When I tried 1471, all I got was this 12 digit number. The messages that didnt show up on 1471 said they were from Amazon Prime, asking me to press 1 to talk to someone about cancelling or changing my membership. Bit odd if you ask me. From Lincolnshire.

On 1st May 2019, I got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC, saying I owed income tax. He asked for my full name and birthday, but I refused to give any details. Then he threatened that the police would arrive within 30 minutes to arrest me and that I'd be held for 72 hours so they could check their records. I told him no and said I'd wait for the police. I knew it was a scam because if it had been real, HMRC would have contacted me through the post.

Got a call from this number, an automated voice claiming to be from the tax office.

Received a call on my landline with a message on the voicemail saying something like "Press 1 to solve an issue or 2 to cancel your Internet with TalkTalk." The caller ID just showed "Unavailable." I haven't been with TalkTalk for over three years now. I've had scam calls in the past so I just ignored it. This is the first time I've got a message like that though.

After I ended the call I rang 1471 and this number popped up- 000000000000. The bloke claimed he was with Microsoft and said there’d been issues with my Windows. Told him to get lost and just ended the call.

Today, 2nd February 2018, I got two txt msgs from '00000-000000' on my O2 UK mobile. When a message comes in, the phone shows the first line, and these two said they were from O2. Usually, I get msgs from a different O2 number I know well. I just deleted these 2 messages with all those zeros without opening them.

I keep receving calls where the number doesnt show up, saying they are from Santander and that my account will be locked. Ive never even had an account with them, but theres no way to report these scams properly. They only take reports from actual customers and want a number, which I dont have for these calls. I keep getting this automated voicemail from a guy offering oven cleaning. The funny thing is, I’ve heard this spiel plenty of times before, but never from such a dodgy number. In the message, he tells you to press a key to book a clean or another key to opt out of getting these calls. I called the number I spotted from 1471 before (which looked legit), but it just played the exact same message. I also tried pressing the unsubscribe option recently, but that didn’t do anything. These calls usually come through outside of regular working hours - like evenings, weekends, or even at lunchtime.

I got a call from a number that was all zeros which seemed really dodgy, so I didn’t pick up. Now I’ve blocked that one and a few others like it. Feels like one of those scams that trick you into pressing buttons and then try to charge you or keep you on the line without you realising. Best thing to do is just ignore and block. Don’t risk it!

We had a peculiar experience with our landline when someone called - not long after, our mobile buzzed too, and then our partner's phone started ringing.
