I noticed on my Samsung phone, there's this company listed as Dyeing for It. When I tried calling back, the Samsung operator replied with 'Please try again, number not recognised'. Looks like Samsung's blocked it from their system now, so if you're using a Samsung, you probably won't get calls from them anymore.

I received a call from the same number! The phone flashed "Scam Likely," so I decided to ignore it and let it buzz away before promptly blocking the contact. While it was still ringing away, I was already looking the number up online.

Lately ive been getting calls claiming to be from Virginmedia about my router speed and signal issues. The weird thing is the number shows up as a blocked or hidden number. I figured a big company like Virginmedia wouldnt be using untraceable numbers like that.

They rang me while I was at the gym lol, just a few seconds of nothing then they cut off. Totally a fake number since it showed up as +0000000, so there’s no way to return the call.

1. Save that phone number (000)-000-0000 as a new contact.
2. Give it a ridiculous name like "ZERO" or something equally dreadful - any idea who operates it? They often have a thick accent from abroad.
3. Toss that contact straight onto your blocked list (don’t hesitate to hang up at once).
4. Dig deeper into the actual phone number of the person calling - if you listen closely, you might catch a few different voices during those calls.
5. Keep ringing that number (I haven't managed that yet...) as often as possible!

Got a call from this number with a +00 code, which means it’s from abroad. It rang a couple of times then dropped - shame, my call blocker would’ve stopped them. I’ve blocked it now, you should too. Definitely don’t pick up calls starting with +00 since they’re outside the UK.

Absolutely! I had a similar experience. They rang me up showing as a private number, then provided a contact number to reach out again. When I dialled that number, the chap on the other end just blurted out "Sod off!" and promptly disconnected. Quite audacious, I must say!

I had a rather peculiar call from the number 000000000, where a chap with quite an obvious accent claimed I was set to receive a £9200 grant from the government. Strangely enough, I had a call like this a couple of months back from another number, and it turned out to be a right con. The story goes, you’re supposed to fork out £250 to secure the grant funds. Hilarious, isn't it? Absolutely a scam!

I received a call from these individuals claiming to be using 3G - not quite sure who they were, to be honest. I mentioned that our number is registered with the Telephone Preference Service and, rather amusingly, they hung up straight away!
