Emergency services don’t call back showing their own number; if they do ring you, it’ll appear as a private or no-caller-ID. So don’t trust those numbers popping up on your screen claiming to be emergency lines.

00057998104 rang me with an automated message saying my internet would be disconnected unless I took action. Then the same number called again a couple of hours later but no one spoke. Feels like harassment to me! Could be dangerous for anyone who ends up believing their scam tricks.

Got a call from what looked like a usual number but it started with three zeros, something like 000-something, can't remember the full digits. The caller claimed to be Amazon saying someone tried buying an iPhone X for £999.99 and they’re sending it to Idaho. I don’t even live anywhere near Idaho. Felt really fishy so I ended up cancelling the order, pretty certain it’s a scam to trick folks into paying for a dodgy phone.

00 0 is just a code used for internet calls. So really, that number isn’t dangerous at all, no matter if you’re in Russia or the USA, you can call anywhere without cost.

Someone rang saying they was from BT Openreach, told me my internet was hacked and they needed to switch it off. Asked me to do something on my phone to set up a firewall, but it all sounded pretty dodgy and they didn’t answer my questions straight. Plus, their Asian accent made it hard to catch what they were saying.
